Olive is a color that I treat as a neutral. Maybe it’s the biophilic appeal, or its west coast reference that has my heart, but in either case it seems to make an appearance in many of my projects. It’s a color subtle enough to cozy up with (try one of the lush throws we’ve scouted,) and bold enough to bring personality to a room - I’ve painted more than one room “Mediterranean Olive,” from Benjamin Moore and it’s a show stopper.

Everyday cookware gets a zesty look in green, and loden colored place settings are sure to make your food pop. Dark olive furniture is a sensible neutral (great with kids and spills…) and easily dressed up with creamy-dreamy pillows. If nothing else, some live olive branches help bring a room to life, and look equally chic in many different settings.
